Perfectly Imperfect

While searching for the perfect leaves to photograph one fall, I found myself suddenly drawn to imperfect leaves riddled with small channels and ragged holes. I collected all of these distinct beauties and began layering and arranging them into unique compositions with a simple black background. I found the resulting images to be much more interesting due to the graphic nature of their imperfections. In addition, I began a similar series combining imperfect leaves with other images in my library to create a more graphic montage.
